September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. It is a day for reflection and reconciliation to honour those who have been impacted by Canada’s residential school system. Lookout for our thrid day of events honouring this important campaign to raise awareness of residential schools at FIC as well as the Student Portal for ways to get involved and learn more individually and online.

Contemporary Indigenous Culture

Join us on our third day through our Journey Towards Truth & Reconciliation. On this day, we will explore Indigenous Culture through dance, art, film, music and literature. Find us in RM 2360 at 12:30pm.

After participating, stop by our interactive table to learn more about First Nations peoples and communities and about the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day, why it is important and why we should care. You can find this interactive table at FIC 2nd Floor beside RM 2100 from 12:30-1:30pm.
