Sexual Assault Awareness Month Events

SFU’s SVSPO is hosting a zine-making workshop in honour of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), centered on this year’s theme: Healing and Transformation.

Healing is deeply personal and unique to each survivor, yet it is also shaped by the communities and cultures we are part of. In this workshop, participants will use art, writing, and creative expression as tools to reflect on experiences, share our stories, and imagine practices and spaces that support care, resilience, and connection.

Through collaborative and individual expression, you are invited to consider how personal healing and community care are intertwined, and how creative work can be a powerful way to envision transformation in ourselves and the world around us.
