National Day of Mourning to Mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral – FIC Closed

The Canadian Government Formally recognized Monday, September 19th, 2022 as a federal holiday for federal government employees in recognition of the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Further to that announcement, The Government of British Columbia has advised all provincial public section employers to observe this day, including K-12 public schools and public post-secondary institutions. As part of this directive, SFU and FIC will cancel all classes and suspend non-essential campus services on Monday, September 19th, 2022. Classes and services will resume on Tuesday, September 20th.
