Join ENSC105 instructor Ian Brooks and a student team for a lunchtime workshop exploring ethical AI use in academic work. This session will unpack what “ethical AI” really means, why it matters, and how students worldwide are navigating tools like ChatGPT – both the helpful and the problematic.

You’ll learn:

  • SFU and FIC expectations for AI use in coursework

  • What AI can and can’t do to support your learning

  • How feedback-focused AI use can help improve your writing

  • A quick demo of SFU’s privacy-protected Copilot tools

Important: This workshop does not replace course rules or recommend AI for completing assignments. It’s designed to help you use AI thoughtfully, responsibly, and confidently, while providing space to ask questions and connect with instructors and advisors.
