City of Coquitlam Canada Day

Coquitlam’s Canada Day celebration at Town Centre Park is the largest event in the Tri-Cities, offering a full day of entertainment, culture, and fun. Running from noon to 10:30 p.m. on July 1, the festival features a diverse lineup of performances, including Indigenous groups, indie pop, Persian music, and headliner Dr. Strangelove, one of B.C.’s most beloved dance bands.
The event includes two stages with nonstop live music and cultural performances, a wide variety of multicultural food trucks with options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other dietary needs, plus interactive zones like an Eco Zone and community area celebrating local art and culture.
Located near Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain station, the event encourages visitors to walk, bike, or take transit, with a paved path from the station to the park, free bike valet service, and designated pick-up/drop-off zones. Free parking is also available nearby. This free, inclusive festival celebrates Canada’s diversity and community spirit in a vibrant, accessible setting.
