Leadership Team
The Leadership Team is responsible for overseeing the strategic academic and administrative functions of FIC and for managing a successful partnership with Simon Fraser University. We are committed to the quality assurance of the academic and support programs that ensure the holistic success of our students.
Instructor Support Team
The Academic Success team works together to foster an ideal learning and teaching environment for students and faculty. They provide practical and pedagogical support for each class and a smooth transition into an intercultural teaching environment for the instructor. In addition, the Senior Academic Success Managers also provide support to both students and faculty with initiatives such as Reboot, FIC’s program for academically at-risk students.
Wellness Office
The Wellness Office supports students requiring the highest level of need at FIC. Students that require this level of care often require a comprehensive network of caregivers across multiple organizations.
Advising & Student Experience
The Student Success and Experience Team at FIC provides comprehensive support to all students by combining expert guidance in student welfare, transition, and academic acculturation with opportunities for meaningful engagement. This unified team offers holistic services, including advocacy, referrals, and activities that help students achieve their goals. From participating in lunchtime events to taking on leadership roles, these initiatives not only build valuable life skills but also foster community and friendship, enhancing the overall student experience.
College Support Team
The College Support Team is dedicated to enhancing the academic experience by providing comprehensive assistance across a variety of essential services. From handling documentation requests and coordinating student accommodations to managing the Moodle learning platform and hosting professional development for instructors, our team ensures smooth, efficient support for both students and faculty.
