After the initial three months of your stay in Canada, you will then have to apply for the British Columbia Medical Services Plan. This is a mandatory provincial government plan for all British Columbia residents. Information about the British Columbia Medical Services Plan and how to apply is available from Health Insurance BC or at the FIC office. FIC requires all students to maintain current health insurance cover.
