By car from Vancouver International Airport

Follow the signs out of the airport for "Vancouver City Centre" crossing the Arthur Laing Bridge. From the bridge, take the exit for "Marine Drive - East". Drive east along Marine, turning left at Boundary Road. From Boundary, take the onramp to Highway 1 East on the right. Continue along Highway 1 East until you reach the exit for Gaglardi Way. Take this exit and follow Gaglardi Way all the way to SFU. Total trip time is approximately 45 min to 1hr.

By bus from Vancouver International Airport

Catch bus 424 Airport Station from outside the Domestic Arrivals terminal. At Airport Station, transfer to bus 98 Burrard Station, which takes you into Downtown Vancouver. Upon arriving at Burrard Station, cross Burrard Street, and catch bus 135 SFU. Total trip time is approximately 1hr 45 minutes.

By car from downtown Vancouver

Two options:

1. Hastings (simplest). Drive east along Hastings Street out of the downtown core. Stay on Hastings through Vancouver and Burnaby.Follow the SFU sign to the right, and continue along Hastings up Burnaby Mountain. Continue straight onto University Drive East the turn left at Nelson Way. FIC is approximately 100m on your right. Total trip time is approximately 40 minutes.

2. Freeway (might be faster). Follow Pacific Street eastbound out of downtown, as it turns into Pacific Boulevard and later Quebec Street. Turn left at Terminal Avenue, follow straight along this as it turns into First Avenue. Look for the entrance to Highway 1 East, and enter the freeway. Continue along Highway 1 East until you reach the exit for Gaglardi Way. Take this exit and follow Gaglardi Way until it intersect University Drive East. Merge right onto University Drive east, then turn left at Nelson Way. FIC is approximately 100m on your right. Total trip time is approximately 35 minutes.

By bus from downtown Vancouver

Board bus 135 SFU at Burrard Station, or along Hastings Street at Hornby, Granville, or Richards. Total trip time is approximately 50 minutes.

Getting around by public transport

The direct bus routes to SFU Burnaby are:

• Bus 135 SFU (135 Burrard Station for return trip) from downtown Vancouver
• Bus 143 SFU (143 Coquitlam Station for return trip) from Coquitlam Centre Station
• Bus 144 SFU (144 Metrotown Station for return trip) from Burnaby Metrotown Station

Skytrain passengers travel to the Burnaby campus on the Millennium Line. Disembark at Production Way/University Station, then transfer to the #145 SFU (145 Production Way/University for return trip).
